The bar is fixed to the bottom or top of the browser window (notice that it is located at the top on this page) using the position:fixed css property so it can be assigned to any module position and will still display at the correct window location. No javascript in use so no conflict.

It has options for the width, icons for display, style and even a Virtuemart minicart which shows total cart items and links to the cart details. The minicart function is not AJAX enabled so it only updates on page refresh. It also does not show the items, just the total number of items added to the cart. It links to the main cart so the user can click to see details. This serves the purpose of indicating to the user that items are in the cart as they browse the website and ideal for the site owner who does not want to display the Virtuemart minicart module in a column on all pages but still want to keep the user aware of cart entries.

Since it's a module, multiple instances can be enabled and assign to different pages with different style, position and icons as you may notice it is different on this page. There is also a text area to insert a small block of text or even HTML and javascript. Notice on this page the bar has an 'AddThis' script included.

The default fixed elements are the login form and the home button. The height is 35 pixels. It uses a default.php template file so you can create an override to change the layout as you like without impacting the original files. There is a margin adjustment to move your page up or down if the bar is intruding on your content.

• Not really a bug. Will not work with IE 6 and below and any browser that does not support position: fixed css property.
